چکیده
Hematologic malignancy is a risk factor for severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in adults; however, data specific to children with leukemia are limited. High-quality infectious adverse event from the ongoing Children's Oncology Group (COG) standard-risk B acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (ALL/LLy) trial, AALL1731, were analyzed provide disease-specific estimate of SARS-CoV-2 infection outcomes pediatric ALL. Of 253 patients reported infections, majority (77.1%) asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic (CTCAE grade 1/2) and there was single COVID-19-related death. These suggest does not confer substantial morbidity among young B-lymphoblastic (B-ALL/LLy).

Efficacy of L-carnitine on liver function in childrens under chemotherapy with acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Abstract Background Patients who are to receive chemotherapy require careful assessment of liver function prior to treatment to determine which drugs may not be appropriate, and which drug doses should be modified. Following therapy abnormalities of liver function tests may be due to the therapy rather than to progressive disease, and this distinction is of critical importance. Toxicity such ...
متن کاملExpression of ROR1 Gene in Patients with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) results from genetic alterations in a single lymphoid progenitor cell. Expression of ROR1 is reported to be increased in ALL and mantle cell lymphoma. In this study the expression of ROR1 was assessed in newly diagnosed patients with ALL. Methods: This study was carried out on 40 patients with newly diagnosed ALL and healthy individuals as contro...
متن کاملRelationship between ABO blood group and Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) constitute a family of genetically heterogeneous lymphoid neoplasms derived from B- and T-lymphoid progenitors. ALL affects both children and adults. Diagnosis is based on morphologic, immunophenotypic, and genetic features that allow differentiation from normal progenitors and other hematopoietic and nonhematopoietic neoplasms. The aim of this study was to in...
متن کاملThe incidence of hyperglycemia during the induction phase of chemotherapy in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Background: Hyperglycemia is one of the most complications of corticosteroid and asparaginase during induction phase of chemotherapy in children suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). This study was carried out to evaluate the incidence of hyperglycemia and associated risk factors during chemotherapy induction phase at Amirkola Children's Hospital. Materials and Methods: In this c...
